Spotlight on Sponsors: NBT Bank of Duanesburg

NBT bank is a finan­cial insti­tu­tion with loca­tions in six North­east­ern states. One branch is on Route 20 in Duanes­burg. While many think of this struc­ture as only a build­ing in which to trans­act bank­ing busi­ness, NBT is also whole­heart­ed­ly ded­i­cat­ed to the com­mu­ni­ty, espe­cial­ly in its sup­port of the Lan­dis Arboretum. 

NBT has spon­sored the 5K For­est Run and a num­ber of Gar­den Par­ties and has chaired the Hol­i­day Auc­tion. NBT staff have reg­u­lar­ly par­tic­i­pat­ed in such events as the April Work­fest and the Spring and Fall Plant Sales. Bon­nie Keller, the for­mer Duanes­burg branch man­ag­er, served as trustee and trea­sur­er on the Lan­dis Board.

One of the most suc­cess­ful fundrais­ers for Lan­dis was the 2006 auc­tion of a Harley David­son motor­cy­cle. NBT helped with the pro­mo­tion by show­cas­ing the Harley at the Duanes­burg branch and by sell­ing tick­ets. For this year, NBT has agreed to spon­sor the 5K For­est Run/​Walk in August, once again demon­strat­ing this institution’s com­mit­ment to the community.
