Harvest Time Restoration Wellness Retreat

By Wilma Jozwiak

Ellen Langenbahn leads us in mat Pilates.

We hope that what will be the first of many wellness retreats at Landis happened on Saturday, October 3, in the Meeting House with the "million dollar view" of the Schoharie Valley.

Ellen Langenbahn led participants in classic Pilates mat exercises. Joy Heckman, proprietor of The Olde Corner Store in Middleburgh, prepared the lunch and provided information about healthy eating. Jim Paley led the group in a guided meditation. Wilma Jozwiak introduced the group to Tai Chi to target arthritis. Finally, Anne Donnelly led the group on a short hike through some of her favorite sites at the Arboretum.

Joy Heckman discusses good nutrition.

Be looking for the date of the next wellness retreat either in the 2016 Calendar of Events, published in the spring, or on the Arboretum's website or Facebook page.
