Anyone exploring the outdoors should know how to use a map and compass. Yes, there’s GPS, but no experienced outdoors person would ever solely rely on that technology. Join us from 2:00 to 3:00 PM for this session that will help beginners understand and start to master the use of the magnetic compass and topographic maps to find their way in the outdoors. Partial funding for this class provided through a grant from Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match Program.
Instructor: George Steele, nature educator
