 Events
Active support and attendance at Arboretum events is the first line of support.  And while you are enjoying your time at Landis, you are showing others that our events are worth their time.  Bring your friends. If you cannot attend, consider sending a donation that may enable some of our volunteers to attend.  They’ll love it, and you’ll feel good about it too. Please click HERE to view our Calendar of Events.
General Donations
Outright gifts of cash and securities help Landis with day-to-day operations by providing quality education programs and enhancing our beautiful collections.  The donor benefits from the income tax charitable deduction.  The Arboretum benefits by the immediate use of funds to further our mission.
Donations of materials, supplies, and equipment are also appreciated, for example:

Lilacs: The Genus Syringa, by Fr. John Fiala • Quality picnic tables and benches • Hardback rakes, shovels, loppers, mulch fork
Quality vacuum cleaner • Walkie-talkies
Troy-Built hand carts • Snowshoes • Trowels and other small gardening tools
Office supplies, including used printer cartridges • Mulch
This list changes as the needs of the Arboretum change.

 Special Projects
Donations are welcome for specific project areas.  Some projects include: perennial gardens, greenhouse, native plants initiative, and education programs.  If you have an interest in funding a special project, please contact the Arboretum (518-875-6935); info@landisarboretum.org).

Meetinghouse Renovation
The Landis Arboretum has begun the process of renovating the Meeting House, our main education facility, into a year-round education and conference center.  We know already it will be expensive.  Consider making a cash donation and noting that it is for the Meeting House renovation.
Legacy of Naming
Landis also offers a naming opportunities – for various aspects of the Arboretum such as designations for trails, gardens, and ponds. For example, for $500,000, a donor can name the new education and conference center.  A portion of this contribution will be invested to provide funds for ongoing maintenance of this facility.  Contact the Executive Director (director@landisarboretum.org ) for more information.
Perennial Garden Renovation and Development
For many years, the Albany County Master Gardeners and other volunteers have helped maintain our Van Loveland perennial gardens and educated visitors about gardening techniques and plant identification.  Perennial gardens provide some of the most colorful and spectacular displays but also require some of the most intensive maintenance.   Donations are always welcome.
Harkness Library, Baim Herbarium, and William T. Raymond Greenhouse Complex
Renovation and maintenance of these buildings essential to the work of Landis presents an on-going challenge to the Arboretum.  Sponsors with special interest in these areas are invited to share their interest and support for the Arboretum gems.
Endowment
Donations to the General and Horticulture endowments are investments in the financial future of the Landis Arboretum.  The purpose of an endowment is to invest the principle and use only the income earned.  The General Endowment provides ongoing funds for day-to-day operations.  The Horticulture Endowment provides ongoing income to help cover the horticulturist’s salary.
Corporate Matching Contributions
